| Member: Ken Read about the club in an article in Boating magazine and checked out the site. Thought it was a nice light hearted site so I Figured I'd join. I am located in New Jersey and have a 30' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge. Most of my boating is done in Barnegat Bay with some occasional trips out to the great Atlantic Ocean. Although I've been involved in boating my whole life, only the last couple of years have I really gotten obsessed with it. Go to all the boats shows, skip work to go boating, and play around on the computer finding web sites like this. I've also found that owning a boat is a great way to get rid of all that hard earned money pretty fast. | Member: Tommy My wife and First Mate, Jane and I have a Searay 270, appropiately named Lady Hawk. We, trailer our boat, along with our constant boating companions, Kathy and David ,also owners of a SR 270, to various freshwater lakes,and to marinas along the ICW. Our favorite body of water, without doubt is the clear warm water around the Florida keys. Sunrise at Faro Blanco marina on Marathon Key is one of the most memorable sights, I have ever seen. After a long enjoyable day on the water, one of our favorite activities involves activating the blender and making daquiries, to recount the day's activities. We have enjoyed numerous adventures and met many nice people during our boating activities. I hope this membership leads to many more. Try to get both of them out together as much as possible. Also play around with waverunners (yuck), but can't really tolerate them. Frog Found your web site last year and couldn't resist joining. Finally getting around to this survey. I am the owner of a 25' Hunter Legend. I travel (Business) the world extensively and the "Miss You Knot" is my way of relieving stress when returning from a long project. It seems that no matter where you go, there are people that love sailing. I am now preparing for a two month project in the Los Angeles area. Thank Neptune that the company we are working for has two full time "Sailors" and have already offered use of their boats on the weekend. | Member Todd First of all, I was recently voted as the Commodore of Seaway Boat Club in Peoria, IL for the 2001 boating season. My wife, Kelli, and I own a 1996 30' Bayliner, named Mack Daddy (After the birth of our first child-Mackenzie Rae or nautically---Macken-Sea-Ray--). Our other boat is a 16' 1973 Starcraft American named HARLO, which we use as a shuttle, harbor patrol, beaching craft, and the such. We boat primarily the Illinois River, from Peoria to Starved Rock. I've been boating since 1974 in the Peoria area, and look forward to more trips as we continue our two-foot-itis in boat purchases. Our primary activity is boating and rafting out with friends/families all over Central Illinois. As Commodore, our primary focus is involving our boat club with other boat club activities, likewise, interesting other boat clubs with ours. We, as a club, focus on comraderie and safe boating. This all ties into your website, which I found using a search engine for Nautical Humor, to incorporate into our monthly newsletters. I am looking forward to your newsletters. | Member Sue Hi ya'll. My husband Johnny, and I have been doing our cruising on the Tennessee River. However, we want to try the Ohio, Cumberland and Tenn-Tom this year. We have stayed at some nice marinas and some we would not recommend. We have a 24 ft. Chaparral that we bought two years ago and LOVE the water. We also do a lot of pontoon boating on the Elk River (north Alabama)which is our home port. We have been doing this travelling by ourselves but would love to travel with other boat groups. Last August we went down the Tennessee River to Barkley Dam and up the Tennessee River to Knoxville, TN.
