I have a 38'Trihull sailboat. I have only sailed in the
Gulf of Mexico, but want to expand that since I have just retired 6 months ago.
I enjoy sailing, scubia & fishing. I heard about you through Real Sailers

I found your web site purely accidentally and was delighted
when it popped up. I was looking for some boat humor to give to our skippers at
our Boston Antique & Classic Boat Festival. I did better than that. I
printed out your website and gave a copy to each of them! I enjoy the waters in
and around Boston as well as the mid-Coast in Maine. No, I don't have a boat,
but am fortunate to have several friends who do. / Posted - Wednesday,

I am 55 years old, like boats of all types. I do not own a boat, but no
trip to the Jersey shore without watching the boats of the bay and ocean. /

I
think you may be the one who has it right George. Boat watching is a lot
simpler and certainly less expensive!

New
boater last year. My wife and I love to fish. Her saltwater and myself both,
salt and fresh water. In Iowa there is only fresh water so I have the upper
hand, I thought! I showed her how to use a smaller hook for bluegill and
crappy. I of course used the big stuff, spinners plastic worms and jigs. Last
year I cought nothing and she cought something every time we went. I was the
joke whenever friends came around. I still love her and I showed her this year.
Our boat had some motor problems and a friend said we could go to his pond.
Well I put on a *10 hook with a bullet weight and a 7" blue/black worm and grug
it along a little off the bottom and cought 8 large mouth. Smallest was 1-1/2lb
and the largest 3lbs. My wife was very happy to see them,so was I. Hope to hear
from you soon Bob H / Posted - August 21, 2001

Hi Jim,
Thanks for having this "yacht club" for those of us who dont have our noses
that high in the air!! Lets see, my favorite body, that would be my other half,
oh, of water u wanted, well then it would have to be the intercoastal waterway
around the Cape May county area of NJ! We just like to cruise around, have not
got into fishing as of yet, but want to.
We own, actually just bought,
an old 1976 Cruisers inc, 21 footer, cuddy cabin with an old 1986 235 Evinrude.
I bought it for something to do actually, something to work on both in the
summer months and in the winter months on weekends. U know very well how much
work will be required to keep it looking its best! I am not much of a boater as
of yet, although as a youngster, ages 8 thru 16 I was an avid boater. I wish I
knew where all that knowledge went because while taking the boat out for the
first time last weekend I hit a piling and then I couldnt even get it docked on
the way in. I had to get the guy that used to own it to dock it!! I guess and
hope that all I need is practice, if not, I am going to have to hire a "boat
valet" to dock the damn thing everytime I go out, LOL!!! Well thats it for now,
except I came across ur website in an advertising section of the March 2001
edition of Boating Magazine and am glad I did so!! Looking forward to hearing
from u soon, take care, ED & Rene' / Posted - Saturday, August 18, 2001

We are
located approximately 1/2 from the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Our favorite
water activity involves liquid refreshments and people watching. We are weekend
boaters and are slipped at Harborview Marina in Ludington. We heard about your
club from fellow boaters / Posted - Thursday, August 9, 2001

My
favorite water activity: Sailing the 7 seas. Do I own a boat?: I do not own a
boat at the present time. I was shipwrecked in the Tasman Sea (hit a sunken
container??) and she sunk out from underneath me. I was rescued by a Japanese
freighter which was directed to me by the New Zealand Air Force, the direct
result of activating my EPIRB.
I am a wooden boat affecianado and am
presently looking for "My" Wooden Boat so I can sail again. How I found the
club: I used AOL's "Keyword" looking for a printable calendar to keep track of
my busy schedule as a woodworker and I chose to print out yours, the rest is
history. What a great idea to have a simple printable calendar!!! Good on ya.
Sincerely, Peter / Posted - August 8, 2001

Peter, your
membership comments have been added as one my all-time favorites for so many
reasons and on several levels. I just would not know where to begin. I'll just
say we are very happy that you have joined us and we wish you smoother sailing
when you get your boat.
