Currently between boats. Unless you count the 18ft Prindle catamaran, 17ft canoe, and 13ft kayack. My last boat was a 27ft Newport sloop. The one prior to that a 25ft Coronado sloop. I'm a PADI certified Dive Master and used to dive with tourists out of Guam. I like all water, but am wanting to go to Florida and do some recreational treasure diving, some sailing, and some fishing. I found the club looking for nautical jokes.

I live in Brooklyn and am looking for people with whom to explore the NYC waterways- especially the Gowanus Canal and other industrial thouroughfares for boats. I have seen beautiful horseshoe crabs in the Gowanus.

I spent 10 years in the US Navy, and I love the water. I will be retiring next year and I plan to get myself a seaworthy boat to relax and do some deep sea fishing. Caribbean water is my favorite patch.

My wife and I own a 400SS Formula, (Bad to the Bun). For the last 25 yrs we have boated on the Lake of the Ozarks. We have moved our boat to Dubuque IA on the Mississppi River. We are looking forward to doing some long cruises on the river systems. We have boated the Great Lakes and the upper Mississippi River. Would like to eventually do the Great Loop...or not. Just like to be on the water. Boaters are great people to be around. Found this site while looking for info on the Great Loop cruise.

Good morning Capt. Jim, And a very good morning it is too as in a couple of hours I'll be on my way down the coast to, fish collect shell fish and generally enjoy life. In such as a small country as mine you can imagine that the Americas Cup is quite a prominent feature on the news, paper or T.V. The challenging boats appear to be much faster this time so what the outcome will be is anyone's guess. I of course hope that we can keep the cup and no doubt you would like to see it back Time will tell.In the meantime the T.V.coverage here is excellent and I'll be very sorry when the races are all over. I sail a thirty foot keeler and as it is now summer here, intend to spend a lot of time on the water sailing the coast line. I enjoy receiving the news from you and other sailors. All the best , Jack.
