My wife, Cindy and I spend many enjoyable hours on South Holston Lake, nestled in the mountains of East Tn and S.W. Va. We have a 1984 Sea Ray 270 Sundancer cabin cruiser, 1995 Stingray Ski-boat and a Yamaha jet-ski that our teenage children enjoy. We love spending weekends on the boat. I found the club by just surfing around on the web. I always like reading and hearing about how others enjoy their boats.

I have a pontoon boat and so far my favorite body of water is Lake Jocassee in S.C. I found the club because I was looking on the internet for people interested in boating and maybe cruising together in the summer on a river, etc

Boating has been a true love since my first 12 footer at age 9. Fortunately I've been able to upgrade in on regular basis to my current 40 foot convertible flybridge and turn my love of boating into a career as a Yacht Broker in Florida. I always enjoy meeting and talking with fellow boaters and welcome stories at any time. I hope to hear from other members and if I can ever provide assistance and/or info at any time please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

I'm from the Great Lakes region of New York State. I came south in 98 to have the opportunity to sail year round. I left a 43' George Buehler schooner behind that needed the deck and house finished before it could be transported. Before I could finish and move it a tree undid sixteen months of work by falling amidships in an ice storm. Now my wife Debbie (who I met and married here in south Mississippi) sail a 22 Catalina out of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. We are in the process of selecting a retirement boat and have narrowed the choices to an Alden Malabar II, Angleman's Sea Witch, or back to Buehler's schooner. Plan to decide and lay the keel in January of 04. That gives us six years to complete construction. In the mean time we will sail the Gulf for fun in our plastic boat and cast envious glances at the not infrequent meetings with the truly beautiful wooden craft we meet.

Folks this is what our club is all about! Debbie and Jim have their dreams but the important thing is to be near the water. Soon and very soon someone will be looking at a great sailing vessel and planning the day when thay will match it. Debbie and Jim will be at the helm. But through it all they never lost the connection with the water. What more is there to say?!

I am a 61 year old retired icu nurse who has sailed since i was 13.which some think odd for a native Texan. I am building my last boat a Skiff America. My wife is much younger and she is still working which limits my retirment travel and boating some.

I own a Zodiac style Inflatable Boat (not a raft). I got it due to my involvement as a K-9 Search and Rescue specialist. My dog and I find missing and lost people in the woods, urban, disaster (9-11-01) and drowned victims. We love this little boat and have fun and serious moments with it. Next summer is our "Adventure 2004". My son and I will navigate the Susquehanna from east of Binghamton New York down to the Chesipeak Bay. We have navigated the Cownesque,Tioga, Pine Creek, Cohoton, Chemung and Canisteo rivers locally and the West branch of the Susquehanna in central PA. We usually use the paddles and sometimes for time and safety sake we use a electric motor. I saw a few of the stories on your website and thought it was interesting and want to check it all out. Thanks Tim
